LEARNING CONNECTIONS

About

With experience leading schools across North America, the Middle East, and Asia, I bring a global perspective to school leadership grounded in clarity, care, and strategic thinking. My work centers on building strong learning communities, leading thoughtful innovation, and ensuring schools are prepared for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

This question has served as the north star of my work as an educator and school leader. It has guided my thinking around learning design, pedagogy, school culture, and the thoughtful use of innovation and technology to deepen student engagement and growth. Most recently, it formed the foundation of my doctoral research, Rewiring Education: Change Leadership in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, which explored how schools can lead meaningful, values driven change in an era of rapid transformation.

I am an educator and senior leader with a clear vision for future ready learning that balances innovation with academic excellence and sustained growth. Throughout my career, I have worked to design learning environments that are both forward thinking and deeply human, ensuring that students, educators, and communities thrive together.

I have held executive and senior leadership roles in Vancouver, Dubai, and Tokyo, supporting schools through strategic planning, accreditation with CIS WASC and NEASC, and organizational development. My work has included leading large scale school redesigns, earning Apple Distinguished School recognition, founding TEDxWestVancouverED, and guiding initiatives that strengthened teaching practice, school culture, and student experience.

As a student centered leader, I have championed inquiry based learning, STEAM integration, outdoor education, and purposeful technology use. I am deeply committed to building educator capacity and have worked closely with thought leaders such as Kath Murdoch, Jennifer Abrams, Will Richardson, Lee Crockett, and Trevor MacKenzie to foster cultures of reflection, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
